Cerekloth "Pandemonium Prayers" - Review.

Photobucket

Here is another entry in the old school death metal worship style. NOT THAT THERE IS ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT! This time it's Cerekloth from Denmark. Simple and straight forward death. Similar to the 2nd Bloodbath album "Nightmares Made Flesh" and Benediction. The title track starts the carnage off, with it's blasting away and death growls. Very well executed. Maybe a bit of Paganizer thrown in there? Whatever it is, it's catchy and heavy! There are also some killer mid paced banging parts in the middle and towards the end. "Lunatic Of Gods Creation" is 2nd. YES A DEICIDE cover. Fucking good one too! Very well done gents! "Touch Of The Scythe" has a great skank beat opening part, makes you want to bang your head all the way OFF! Some killer solos, mid/slow paced banging away, then back into the skank part. Then at the end, a sad pianno piece. "Shattered Hour Glass" brings an end to this EP. Slower/heavy part that goes blasting at points. It has a bunch of punches in it as well, at least on the drums. The song is cool, but not as good as the other ones. It also has a different production sound than the other 3 songs. All in all a promising mini album of material from these guys. The band has members of Victimizer and Karnarium. So this might be a side project. With the promise of "Pandemonium Prayers" and "Touch Of The Scythe", Cerekloth will be a force to be reckoned with. I WANT TO HEAR MORE! On Hell's Headbangers.
