Hmmm, these guys remind me of the 1980s crossover style of speed/thrash metal. These Boston maniacs would be quite good to see live. Tons of energy. This is cool stuff. Some grind parts thrown in. And even some crust/power violence influence. "Speed Trials", "The Threat..." and " Lazer Assault" come fast and furiously manic. "All In All" is more of a mid paced banger. Lots of headbanging parts. Come to think of it, I have heard of these guys! They have the Municipal Waste vibe down with the partying and fun, but these guys are faster and more relentless. The production is dry but it fits the old school style. "Shane Embury Is The Brad Pitt Of Grindcore" is one of the best song titles ever and the song is awesome, back to fast and ripping. "Bogus Facade" is next and has a cool old school 80s vibe to it, mid to fast paced then takes off again. The songs are mostly short and sweet, around the 1:30-2:00 mark. "Sound The Alarm" starts off with an annoying solo alarm sound then has a heavy slow riff going on until it again takes off with the speed. "Immigrant Song" is up next. It has one of the best intro riffs on the album. Very fast again! Awesome! "Political Party", "Man Vs Machine", "Arrested Development" and "A Modern Myth" are all fast as fuck bangers, why fuck with a good thing? Thing is the song writing is all top notch. This isn't a bandwagon band following the thrash trend and it shows. This has conviction. Has the DRI, Cryptic Slaughter, old COC vibe going mixed with relentless thrash ala Violence "Eternal Nightmare" (not saying they sound like Violence, but the songs and how they attack you are similar). "Heavy Metal Thunder" is a stand out track, because it sounds a little different. More of a mid paced banger. No manic fast parts. But good. Kind of stoner rock ish/Sabbathy but cool. Good job Ramming Speed. Now if Candlelight can sign more bands like these guys!
